Mary Delaney-Shaw is a European trained Make-up Artist and Aesthetician. She has been in the beauty Industry for 10 years.
"I have believed for a long time, that make-up can only look as good, as the skin it's sitting on."THE CANVAS". So for me, to become a talented Make-up Artist, it was imperative, that I had a thorough understanding of how the skin works, from the inside-out. I find the most fulfilling aspect of Make-up ,is enhancing and to highlight what's already there- naturally. Not to hide behind make-up, but to bring the inner glow-out. But most importantly, and above all,it is to make every woman feel beautiful.That is my mission."
Mary was born and raised in Dublin,Ireland. She moved to the U.S over seven years ago, and now resides in Albany, New York.
Mary was educated at the Coogan Bergin College of beauty therapy in Dublin. She studied under the C.I.D.E.S.C.O programme and received an I.T.E.C Diploma,in May 1998.
Mary gained her confidence early, beginning her career in Dublin. Discovering her technique quickly,she became the lead Make-up Artist/Aesthetician.She gained an unusual insight, into the Industry. She immersed herself into the business, spending time training staff,taking classes and educating herself on some of the most creative, make-up ideas and unique skincare treatments available.
Over the years, Mary has excelled in the beauty Industry. With proven ability to train,educate and inspire others. She has shared her indepth knowledge and passion with numerous make-up Artists,Aestheticians and students in the Northeast area.
She continues with her make-up career, launching her freelance make-up Company BARE CANVAS. She contracts with NBC and the Food Network,while maintaining her wedding and photographic clientele.
Mary has also joined the team at SALON 109,state st Albany. Combining effective skincare services with specialized waxing techniques and superb eye and lash treatments.
